INVENTORY CONTROL/SHOP FLOOR DATA COLLECTION CORDINATOR

Position Overview:
The ideal candidate must be organized, accurate, proactive and be able to work in an ERP platform and have a good understanding of inventory control processes. In this role, you will ultimately be responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the Shop Floor Data Collection system of Radius through job costing evaluation analysis. In addition, this role will ensure accuracy of inventory.
Responsibilities and Duties
Data Tracking and Analytics:
- Daily, review all job costing reports for finished jobs. Verify the accuracy of the report(s). Discuss discrepancies with production staff. Make corrections as needed.
- Review previous days Shop Floor Data Collection shift reports and investigate any issues. Discuss discrepancies with production management. Make corrections as needed. Tabulate and report in compliance spreadsheet which goes to upper management.
- Weekly, prepare “Jobs Completed and Costing” report which identifies all jobs that ran at 7% or higher over budge. Send report to Upper Management, including a job detail for each job listed on the report.
- Attend Shop Floor Data Collection/Downtime meeting when scheduled. Provide appropriate documentation for compliance.
- Run cost extract; review for irregularities and investigate any issues.
- Investigate labor/material variances.
Inventory Management:
- Responsible for accuracy of physical inventory including investigating and resolving all variances.
- Ensure that offcuts are charged to the appropriate job or returned to inventory with proper inventory reference label.
- Reverse charge unused materials from pressroom, identify materials, and determine quantities to account for. Return materials to inventory with proper inventory reference label attached.
- Performing weekly cycle counts on various roll stock items and all adhesive.
Purchasing/Procurement Support:
- Receive requisitions from Pre-Press for all packaging. Research price and delivery then, as appropriate, place purchase orders with vendors. Follow up with vendors to ensure deliveries meet company needs.
- Obtain samples of different material for the Customer Service department.
- Run and clear open purchase orders as needed.
Receiving Support:
- Count, weigh and check a wide variety of incoming paper stock, printing materials, supplies and equipment.
- Verify identification, quantities and similar details against purchase orders and prepare receiving reports.
- Detect and report shortages or damaged materials, move or arrange for the movement of received materials to designated storage areas and report the receipt or delivery of special parts and equipment as directed.
Qualifications & Skills
- High School diploma/GED required
- Three plus years’ experience with inventory control, production costing or similar. Experience in a printing, or manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel
- Excellent math skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently

Reports to the Director of Purchasing
Position is Full-Time in Office

Position Overview:
The Director of Continuous improvement leads a strategic initiative to enhance operational efficiency, quality, and workflow. This role involves analyzing processes, leading the company initiative to save costs, increase throughput, eliminate waste, improve customer satisfaction, reduce product defects, and increase market share using a variety of continuous improvement tools.
Responsibilities and Duties
Strategic Planning
- Driving a continuous improvement culture within the organization by prioritizing opportunities and execution of a Lean transformation strategy and metrics.
- Develop and execute company-wide continuous improvement strategies, frameworks, and roadmaps.
- Lead cross-functional teams to deliver measurable, sustained financial and operational benefits.
Process Optimization:
- Analyze, map, and redesign workflows to reduce waste, improve quality and enhance efficiency.
- Assist teams in developing Lean road maps to aid in the deployment of strategic objectives.
- Identifying best practices with and outside the company and serving as a channel for best practice sharing and adoption across business units.
- Develop process adherence documentation.
- Utilize analytically, data-driven and problem-solving mindset to solve challenging business issues.
- Lead Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen type events to drive tangible improvements.
Leadership and Coaching
- Mentor staff in problem-solving techniques.
Guiding team members in new processes.
- Assist with training plans for existing employees or new hires.
- Communication ideas and opinions to members of management.
- Promote and show commitment to the company’s vision and values.
Performance Metrics:
- Establish KPIs, monitor performance, and validate financial savings from CI projects.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering or other related field.
- 10-15 years of work experience. Print industry / manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Excellent organizational & project management skills and must be a collaborator that enjoys supporting success.
- Ability to work with Continuous Improvement tools and processes
- Strong presentation skills- must be comfortable communicating and presenting to multiple levels of the organization.
