Full Service Solution - LINER-LESS™ Technology
Situation
While working with their piecework ticket, a major appliance manufacture
encountered issues with the thickness of UL label portion of the
form. It was causing streaking of the toner as well as mirrored images,
creating headaches for the staff.
Challenge
The manufacturer partnered with Chicago Tag & Label
to come up with a solution that would reduce the thickness of
UL label and allow it to be used in a laser printer.
Program Highlights
Chicago Tag & Label worked with the appliance manufacturer to convert the existing form to a LINER-LESS™ design. Chicago Tag & Label
designers eliminated the piggyback label and, by using a proprietary
coating, made it possible to apply a label directly to the form.
This reduced the thickness of the form in the label area, thus
reducing the intermittent streaking and mirroring. Meanwhile,
the team worked with the customer to choose a new printer. The faster,
more dependable printer uses advanced technology that provides
more consistent imaging of the form while reducing potential issues.
Results
By working together, the team developed a reliable
printer / form interface that generates more forms at a high
speed. The customer noted that “The last thing we need is a malfunction that requires the line to stop while the problem is fixed. The sophisticated result has been quite successful for us. I definitely give an A grade to Chicago Tag & Label
for their quality.”
